Lakehead University Heading for Strike

The union representing 60 custodians, groundskeepers and other workers at Lakehead University will attempt to “close down” the campus if administrators don’t address their concerns.

Andy Savela, president of Canadian Auto Workers Local 229, said Wednesday that management has been given 72 hours notice that the union is prepared to strike.
