200 university intellectuals join campaign against Wal-Mart

Noam Chomsky, Roy Adams, Elaine Bernard among professors speaking out by signing international petition

Montreal - More than 200 intellectuals in the U.S., Canada and Europe have signed a petition denouncing Wal-Mart's contempt for employees who want to improve their working conditions.

The signatories are mainly university professors, including Noam Chomsky, Roy Adams and Elaine Berhard. Several are affiliated with some of the world's most prestigious institutions, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge and others.
